Godbers Travel is a blog written by me a mummy sharing my life with the big wide world. i’m the mother of  boys, trying to capture our experiences as a living breathing record of our journey through life. Life is hard when you’re a working parent, which is why experiences are even more precious. We dedicate our family time to making the best possible memories with our children. Expect tips, honest reviews,  life hacks, travel, sprinkled with real life as we experience it.

Rich and I met in 2010 on the White Isle of Ibiza. We welcomed our first son William (Bilbo) into the world in 2013. Travel with him was different. But we felt having a small child didn’t need to inhibit us from continuing to explore.  Rich and I wed in 2013 and we enjoyed an amazing honeymoon in Thailand. Harrison was born in 2016 and he took his first vacation at 6 weeks old and has managed to tick off Belgium, Germany, Greece and Spain before he was one years old.

We want to inspire people like us to take a trip out of your comfort zone. Travel with children truly is the gift that keeps on giving and we hope our stories will help others to see the world as a giant playground to explore.

Over the last few months our blog has evolved into something more than just a travel blog. I’m an advocate for refugees and i’ve been sharing my recent volunteering experience in Lesvos. You can read more here: Volunteering

The UK is where we currently call home and 2018 was our busiest year yet starting in Thailand, then Germany, Ibiza, Italy, Nice and Cornwall.

**UPDATE** 29th October 2018

In October 2018 it was with the heaviest of hearts, we shared the news our amazing gorgeous Bilbo, had been diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL).

We’ve been overwhelmed with love and kindness from across our friendship groups, our family and complete strangers. We are under the Kamran ward team at John Radcliffe hospital in Oxford. We are getting the very best possible care.

To stop us from having to repeat and tell so many people pretty exhausting news and updates we’re updating those who want to know through our blog. Godbers Travel was a travel blog, a living breathing online memory book for our boys. We see this as an unexpected journey we need to complete before our normal travel can resume.

We hope you will find our posts honest and frank, as we try to give you insight into what life is like for a family and child with cancer.
