Day 88: Gratitude

It has been 88 days since D Day and in that time i’ve had many moments where i’ve wanted to scream, shout, cry and wish it wasn’t us. But during those 88 days there have been many moments where i’ve been eternally grateful for so many things.
Today I wanted to dedicate this post to gratitude. To saying thank you. To acknowledging every single person who has helped us thus far.
There is no way I can thank every single person by name because the list is long very long. And if I don’t mention you please don’t be offended it doesn’t mean your support, your card, your donation (blood or money) means any less to us.
So here’s my gratitude…
Giving Blood

Thank you to every single person who has given blood.
My facebook feed was filled today with people i’ve known all my life giving blood. For some it was their first time and i’m eternally grateful.

People across the UK have been giving blood throughout the last 88 days.

I’ve had colleagues in the US give blood, some even dressed up as dinosaurs…

Donations
Bilbo has an official fund code now with CLIC Sargent: E4YBGF you can simply quote this code whenever you send in any donations to CLIC so they are added to Bilbo’s total.
I know that CLIC have been piecing together donations that have come in under Bilbo’s name. For data security they can’t tell me who they are but I know the sums and i’m floored by the generosity.
If you’re reading this we Thank You.
And please know that after spending the day at CLIC last Friday I wholeheartedly believe every penny donated is going to a wonderful cause.
If you’d like to donate to CLIC Sargent you can do it directly on his page:
Support and Love

Thank you to every single person who’s gone out of their way to send us the care packages, cards, gifts. For every single person who has showed us in many different ways that they are thinking of us.
Over 88 days we’ve been inundated with love. From Rachel Miller sending us personalised pencils. Silvia Cambie sending us the sweetest packages from across Europe on her travels. Our family in Canada and New Zealand who’ve showered us with love.

Boxes of wine on just the right day. Boxes filled with home baked goodies from Den Bakeshop.

It is the small packages that arrive in the post sent with love that brighten up our day.
For Fundraising
For every one of you who’s bought a CLIC Sargent band.

Who’s baked a cake. Who is helping us to think of new ways to fund raise. THANK YOU

To everyone at VMWare and Pearson who’ve raised money in Bilbo’s name. We’re so grateful. Thank You.
For Listening and Being There
For every person who texts us, whats-apps us, sends an email, checks in. For every person who’s reading our blog, posting a comment, sharing the link or letting us know you’re there. THANK YOU!
When our days are dark it is your messages, your continued support that are the shining light we need.

When we see the facebook pictures of you giving blood, the donations coming in I know that we are loved. Bilbo is loved. And with that love we are going to fight this bastard cancer.
